What was your inspiration behind creating this song?

My inspiration is the music box lullaby.

As for the lyrics, it came pretty naturally. It was my genuine thoughts and feelings at that time, trying to remind myself not to forget myself

What does Mother's Day mean to you?

I have always been close to my mother. It was a day that I would take her out, bring her to her favourite restaurants, and celebrate her in general.

Now that I’m a mom, I truly understand the difficulties she has to go through.

What is one important thing you will do to show love & care to your child or mom?

It is to be the first happy face he sees every morning when he wakes up and the lsat face he sees when he goes to sleep.

I hope that it will remind him that Mama loves you and that I will always be here for you.

Our final episode of What’s My Story is mommy Agnes, who shares with us a rare glimpse into what family life with 8 children looks like!

It’s no secret that having a big family isn’t the norm for most married couples in Singapore. And having 8 kids in Singapore must come as a surprise to many families out there, who might just settle with having 2 to 3 kids at most.

Part 2 of Agnes’ sharing highlights her experience of giving birth to her 3rd baby prematurely, and tries her very best to juggle between taking care of her older kids, while making sure she is able to have a smooth transition from tube feeding to latching exclusively for her premature baby.

She even managed to birth her beautiful twins, amidst much difficulty and triumphing over these! Kelly now leads by example for her daughter with her story to tell in the future. Don’t let anything bring you down, not even cancer. This is Kelly’s story.

Part 2 of Kelly’s story features her labour of love from her diagnosis to the birthing of her twins, Hana and Heather @hana.heather! It wasn’t easy at all for Kelly, as she jumps through all the hurdles courageously and overcame them! Hey Mommies, We have the 2nd Episode of ‘What’s Your Story?’ featuring 883 DJ Shu Hui @883shuhui! We are so excited to be able to share Shu Hui’s story as she shares about her Emergency C-sect this time round.

If you didn’t know yet, What’s Your Story? podcast is a bite size podcast that allows our Mommies to share their raw and uncut stories.

We go through a whole list of plans that we want to follow through for birth, and also confinement and more. But things don’t always go as planned, as life really likes to throw lemons back at us. Emergency C-sects are scary, daunting to say the least. Tough times don’t last, but tough people last. This is Shu Hui’s story.

Ep 1: “My Hyperlactation Story” – Podcast featuring Sophie Leow @sophleow

On the 2nd episode, @sophleow will be sharing about how she experienced hyper-lactation in public, which was a very challenging feat, especially for hyper-lactating mommies. She also spoke out about how hyper-lactating mommies should unite to educate others on what and how hyper-lactation really is. For the final episode, Sophie will touch on the differences between her 1st and 2nd pregnancy, so do look out for that!

On the final episode, @sophleow will be sharing about how she tackled her 1st and 2nd pregnancy. Having gained more breastfeeding experience, leaning new knowledge, and as well as help along the way, Sophie has some encouragement to share with all the hyperlactating moms out there. 💪🏼
